Challenge Yourself With This Body-toning Workout

Featuring an optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training in a 45-minute session, Tone might just be your new training experience, if you are always on the go.  This body-toning workout, which you can find at any Fitness First gym in the UAE, works by playing with different training concepts to ensure you are challenged to the core, and that you get the best out of your workout.

Les Mills Tone

The body-toning workout class has been created from the foundations of the Les Mills Bodyvive 3.1 class and maintains the original 3 in 1 training style – a mix of cardio, resistance, and core.

These include a challenging mix of lunges, squats, tubing exercises, and functional training, which combined, help burn those stubborn calories in addition to building strength. Like every Les Mills class, Tone is set to the backdrop of an upbeat playlist that changes on a regular basis to ensure no one gets bored.

Jelena Krneta – Fitness First Senior Group Exercise Instructor, answers a few questions about Tone and how you can enjoy the class no matter what your fitness level is.

Like any other Les Mills program, Tone offers a variety of options that can keep everybody from beginner to advanced level engaged at his/her level of fitness.  Les Mills Tone instructors provide options for all fitness levels. Can the body-toning workout class help with injury rehabilitation?

Jelena: Even though we provide options during the workout, some exercises might be challenging for specific injuries (e.g. severe knee problems that can be intimidated further with squatting as one of the present exercises). However, once the instructor is aware of the injury they can advise a member accordingly on how he/she should proceed further with Tone classes.

Can the class be considered a cardio workout?

Jelena: Cardio is one of the main focuses of the Tone class and it helps you to start burning calories and prepare for the resistance and core portions of the class.

What results can you expect to see after a Tone class?

Jelena: The results you get depend on how hard you push yourself – you can absolutely work up a sweat when you’re ready. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced member, Tone will help you to improve muscle tone in general and support fat burn. The optimal combination of cardio and strength boosts metabolism activating both slow and fast muscle fibers, hence giving you an opportunity to build up lean-looking muscles rather than bulking up.

Is there a body part split?

Jelena: In this optimal mix of cardio, resistance/strength, and core workout, you will engage the whole body and burn calories whilst taking your fitness to another level.
