What we eat can really affect our appearance, so why not pick a diet that’s rich in fruits and veggies, which will help your skin look and feel hydrated, refreshed and simply just glowing. Ditch those chemical-laden beauty products and take a swig off these juices for glowing skin instead.

Juices for Glowing Skin

Beetroot and carrot juice

Beetroot is packed with essential nutrients such as potassium, zinc, iron, manganese, folic acid, and vitamin C. These nutrients are known for their purifying factor which leads to glowing skin. Carrots, on the other hand, contain vitamin A which helps in fighting acne, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and pigmentation.

You’ll need: 1/2 medium beet, 4 carrots peeled and chopped, 1/4 inch piece of ginger, 1/2 lemon and 1/2 cup of water.

Mix beetroot, carrots, ginger, and water in your blender and squeeze the lemon juice in it. Blend until smooth. Place a fine-mesh sieve over a large bowl, pour the prepared mixture and strain the juice out. Discard the pulp. If you are using a juicer just mix all the ingredients in and squeeze the lemon in the juice.

Tomato, apple and carrot juice

Apples contain high levels of vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant and is also excellent at protecting your skin from too much sun exposure. The juice of a tomato contains vitamin A and vitamin C and is a good antioxidant.

You’ll need: 3 red apples, 3 carrots, 2 medium tomatoes. To prepare it, chop all the ingredients into small pieces and juice them.

Banana and avocado smoothie

Who knew bananas offered so many beauty benefits for the skin? They’re rich in moisture which will nourish and revitalize dry skin as well as smoothen rough and aging skin. It’s also great for acne prone skin. It contains vitamin A, vitamin  C, vitamin E and B vitamins, amino acid, zinc, and potassium. Avocados, on the other hand, are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E and fatty acids that can really give you glowing skin from the inside.

You’ll need: Half an avocado, 1 cup of milk, 3 medium sized bananas, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 cup of water and 2 apples(optional).

Chop them into tiny pieces, put all the ingredients in a blender, then blend until smooth. Enjoy at room temperature or add crushed ice.

Gooseberry Juice

Gooseberries or popularly known amla have a remarkable impact on the skin. It has high amounts of vitamin C (it contains 20 times as much vitamin C as is present in orange juice). It purifies toxins and helps you get beautiful radiant skin. The rich antioxidants in amla help in preventing premature aging. Consuming this juice regularly will help you keep your acne and dead skin cells at bay, in addition to glowing skin.

You’ll need: 3 medium gooseberries, 2 cups of water, 1 pinch pepper, 2 tablespoons of honey. Blend chopped amla with water. Filter and discard the pulp. Add pepper and honey then stir and enjoy.
