Under500 café is a new restaurant serving dishes that are less than 500 calories each regardless if it’s a steak or a wrap or some dessert. They are doing that with their home-grown health focused concept.

While I like telling my friends to eat whatever tickles their fancy as long as it’s healthy, I am quite impressed by this new café in town (meaning Dubai), known as Under500 café, which basically means that each dish that they serve is less than 500 calories.

Dubai Foodies and Under500 Café

These under 500 calorie dishes, by the good folks at Under500 café are meant to help one stay healthy and fit and incorporate nutrient dense fresh ingredients, which is especially perfect for guys who are looking to lose a few kilos or maintain their current weight. I could not help but notice that the café is already popular with Dubai foodies looking to lead or are already leading a fit and nutritious life, and want to have some variety on their menu, which includes yours truly (at least when it comes to variety).

Under500 café, which has an innovative and home-style concept offers a wide selection of delicious, wholesome and healthy meals and dessert options, which are literally bursting with flavor and nutrition. The café offers an à la carte menu that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a wide selection of salads (yey for me), wraps and main dishes. So far, from what I saw, the popular dishes include grilled salmon and avocado (check out the untapped beauty of avocados), lean steak and kale and chicken lettuce tacos.

And before I forget, there are more options to the menu including Vegetarian, high protein, Vegan, gluten free, low carb and even raw foods. It is just the best for anyone who is following a certain healthy eating habit or lifestyle.

In case you choose to try out a healthy dish that is also tasty, I would recommend popping into one of Under500 cafe branches located either in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) or Business Bay, Downtown Dubai.
