Benefits of Facial Treatments on a Regular Basis for the Skin

Why You Should be Having Facials on the Regular

Benefits of Facial Treatments on a Regular Basis for the SkinIt’s no secret that your skin loves some TLC. From your usual AM and PM skincare routines to the once in a while facial treatment (for instance if you have something important coming up, or you have some skin issues you can’t take care of at home). But, the truth is, you should be having facial treatments on the regular, and by this, we mean real facial treatments, not pampering (but that shouldn’t hurt either way). The benefits of facial treatments are many because there are quite a lot of treatments out there, all made for different purposes.

As someone who has different facial treatments regularly (at least once a month), I have compiled some benefits of facial treatments, which I have experienced. I hope these will convince you to book an appointment with your medical aesthetician (at least once every month).

6 Benefits of Facial Treatments
Unclogging pores

Benefits of Facial Treatments on a Regular Basis for the SkinDon’t get us wrong now. We believe that you do your best when it comes to cleansing and toning to make your skin squeaky clean. But with all this effort, sometimes those pores just hold on tight to the dirt, which means you need to bring in the big muscles to do the job. And this is where facial treatments like a HydraFacial come in. During this facial, the medical aesthetician cleanses your face manually, and then the treatment takes over to clean and suck out all the dirt, while at the same time delivering replenishing nutrients to the skin. This results in a more radiant and well-hydrated skin.

Wrinkle reduction

As one of the most popular benefits of facial treatments, wrinkle reduction is just the facial treatment that keeps on giving. Since most facials work by stripping off the top layer of the skin, this encourages the skin to produce more collagen, leaving the skin looking and feeling smooth, with fewer wrinkles. Some of the facial treatments that achieve this include, but are not limited to microneedling, microdermabrasion, and the Hollywood peel.

Even skin tone

Facial treatments like peels can easily even out your skin tone, in addition to treating pigmentation issues leaving you with a healthy complexion. Thing is, to maintain this healthy complexion, you have to do the treatment regularly. Chemical peels like Glycolic Peel and the Green Peel work wonders.

Skin rejuvenation

To get that visibly rejuvenated look, you need a professional to do it. For a well-rejuvenated skin, which is another of the most common benefits of facial treatments, dead skin cells have to be stripped away to reveal a newly revitalized skin, which is more fresh and brighter. Some of the treatments to achieve this include laser, mild chemical peels, and of course carbon laser facial among others.

Feel good moment

Benefits of Facial Treatments on a Regular Basis for the SkinYou don’t have to be in a skin rut to head over to the medical aesthetician’s office. You and your skin might just be feeling tired and in need of a skin-pick-me-up. This is where a regular facial like the above-named HydraFacial comes into play. In addition, you can have a skin-calming, or hydrating mask applied afterward. Going through this at least once a month will help you feel good, and your skin will also feel fantastic.

So, how often do you get a facial? Do you agree with all these benefits of facial treatments? Share in the comments below.

  1. Great post! I don’t do facials at a spa, but I do them at home. However, once a year I do a V Peel to get rid of sun spots. xx
