Beauty Trends You Should Try in 2019

Beauty Trends You Should Try in 20192018 was crazy, fun and an amazing year for beauty. There was a huge rise of innovative beauty products such as inclusive make up (thanks Fenty), cleansing oils and lip tints. People were drawn to beauty trends like hair care, bold Instagram makeup and let’s not forget the glowy skin care. For myself, the trend that I was interested in most last year was the K beauty glass skin, which was huge. With a lot to live up to, 2019 beauty trends look quite promising and are sure to take the year by storm.

Body care Equals skin care

Last year the in thing was going all natural in your beauty routine ensuring that it was eco-friendly and organic. Yes, it does work and will definitely save you bucks. Currently, more people are becoming more aware of the relationship between their body and skin. What you eat shows on your skin. You may have an all-natural beauty routine but for it to work effectively you need to be cautious of what you eat.

Natural lash lifts

Beauty Trends You Should Try in 2019Finally, an alternative to lash extensions. Am I the only one who struggles to fix in their lash extensions? With a lash lift procedure, your natural eyelashes are lifted and filled with a special pigment infusion. The end result is you’ll end up with these thick dark lashes that beautifully curve upwards and give you the ‘open eye’ look. The effects last about 8-12 weeks which is the natural life cycle if the eyelash. Ditch your glues and extensions and try this one out.

Witch hazel

Sounds like something from a Harry Potter book, right? Witch hazel, which falls under natural beauty trends, looks like it’s going to be very popular in 2019 for skincare purposes. It is loaded with antioxidants, soothes rashes, aids in acne, oily skin, puffy eyes, and sunburns. Add some aloe vera to it and use it to cleanse and moisturize your skin.

Liquid exfoliators

Beauty Trends You Should Try in 2019We tend to think of exfoliants as mostly granular products or just those sugar, salt, and coffee scrubs. Liquid exfoliators are becoming quite popular since they dissolve dead skin and are ideal for certain sensitive skin types. If you have acne, using granular exfoliators might end up being too harsh on your skin and worsen the condition. Since what’s contained in most of these liquid exfoliators are acids, you should exfoliate once a week or follow the instructions on whatever it is you are using because there’s this little thing called overdoing.

Going Grey

Pinterest has reported an increase in searches for going grey (no I’m not talking about dying your hair grey) with most users looking on ways to wear out their natural grey hair without the expensive coloring and root touch-ups. It’s 2019 and this stigma needs to be gone. A wave of celebs such as Chrissy Teigen and Katie Holmes have been seen on stage with beautiful silvers peeking through. Either way, with some of these beauty trends, it just comes down to you as an individual but the general consensus seems to be that it’s time to wear your silver manes with pride.

Sparkly glitter, bold lips, and almond nails

Beauty Trends You Should Try in 2019In 2018 we saw Instagram makeup switch from heavy contouring, with lots of highlighting and piling on a lot of foundation to a more subtle nude look with a shiny gloss. This year add a pop of color to your nude look with a bold lip. Spice up your look with sparkly glitter and almond nails (yes it’s time to let go of the coffin nails) for that gentle classy I-tried-but-didn’t-try-too-much look which 2019 beauty trends seem to be all about.

  1. Sounds like some big changes are coming to the beauty world – and witch hazel is making a comeback. It was all over beauty magazines back in the 90s. Sadly, I am old enough to remember that!

  2. Yes, big changes, or more like going back in time. Oh… everybody is just as old as they feel. Mature? Definitely, old? Never! Thanks for stopping by 😉
